- Open the study in the viewer, open Tools and click VOI box. Everything outside the box is hidden in every pane.
- Set the size: type the width (L-R), depth (A-P) and height (S-I) in millimetres, or drag the corner dots on any slice pane.
- Position it: drag the move grip at the centre of the box on the axial pane to place it left-right and front-back, then on the sagittal or coronal pane to place it up-down. The box keeps its size while it moves.
- Click Export as new volume. In a minute or two a new study named … cropped by AllyVue <date> appears beside the original — in the referral's files, or in your imaging inbox.
- The crop is lossless: the voxels inside the box are copied at the scan's full resolution with their original values, bit depth and spacing — nothing is resampled or interpolated, and the export is taken from the stored study on the server, not from the reduced copy a phone or tablet may be showing. A measurement on the crop gives the same number as on the original. The new study carries the patient's details and a note that it was cropped by AllyVue and when; the original is never changed.
