How to teach AllyVue your radiograph enhancement and apply it in one click

← Back to Quick Guide

  1. Open a 2D radiograph in the viewer and press Reset so it shows the file's own window. Export that image, enhance it in any program you like (contrast curve, sharpening), and save it as JPEG, PNG or TIFF at the same framing — not cropped or rotated.
  2. In the side panel under Enhancement presets, click Learn from an enhanced copy… and choose that file. AllyVue fits what you did — a tone curve and a sharpening amount — shows it on the image, and tells you how much of your enhancement it reproduces. Local edits (dodging, painting) cannot be learned; only the global part is kept.
  3. Name it and click Save for the practice. The preset appears as a button for everyone at the practice; one click applies it to any other radiograph, Off removes it.
  4. Presets are display-only: they change what the pane shows, never the stored values, and the measuring tools are off while one is applied.
